Soccer Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Victorious

St. Paul's Episcopal kept a clean sheet against Orange Beach on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Makos. Given St. Paul's Episcopal's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Orange Beach are ranked 98th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for St. Paul's Episcopal and bumps their season record up to 11-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Orange Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-3 record this season.

St. Paul's Episcopal will take on North Oconee in a tournament on Friday. As for Orange Beach, they are taking a road trip to square off against Elberta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
