It was a proper cat-fight when Turner took on The Colony on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-14, 25-14.

The Colony's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arielle Ensweiler led the charge by getting seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Ensweiler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bonnitra Donnell, who had 11 digs.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for The Colony, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Turner will face off against rival Newman Smith at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, The Colony is set to square off against their familiar foe Wakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
