Baseball Recap: Pershing County Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Pershing County and West Wendover have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Pershing County Mustangs lost 9-1 to the West Wendover Wolverines. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost nine in a row.

Pershing County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Rhodes, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Pershing County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for West Wendover, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Wendover beat Pershing County by a score of 15-5 later that day.
