Volleyball Recap: Homestead Extends Winning Streak to Four

Homestead waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Southridge Spartans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Broncos also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Homestead walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Gilbert Reyes paced Homestead's offense, picking up seven kills. Reyes got some help from Karon Williams and his 23 assists. Pablo Ruiz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Homestead's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Southridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Homestead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Ransom Everglades on the 8th. As for Southridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against North Miami on the 8th.
