Recap: Brooke Point Black Hawks vs. Colonial Forge Eagles
The Brooke Point Black Hawks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Colonial Forge. Brooke Point has struggled against Colonial Forge recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Brooke Point lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daniel Coles. Despite the final result, he rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Coles really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.
Colonial Forge can attribute much of their success to Jaevyen Peterson, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Josiah Bryson was in the mix as well, providing Colonial Forge with two touchdowns.
Brooke Point's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Colonial Forge, their victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
Brooke Point will take on Riverbend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colonial Forge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Stafford at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. North Stafford is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
