Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chatham HomeSchool, Faith Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They secured a 63-59 W over the Vandalia Christian Vikings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-55 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Vandalia Christian lost, don't look at Izzi Settle. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Another player making a difference was Cole Boody, who scored 15 points and three steals.

Faith Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Vandalia Christian, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Faith Christian will head out on the road to take on Union Grove Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Faith Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Union Grove Christian likes a good challenge. Vandalia Christian has already played their next game (against Asheboro Hybrid Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
