Basketball Game Preview: Jonathan Alder Pioneers vs. Bishop Watterson Eagles

Jonathan Alder is 2-7 against Bishop Watterson since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jonathan Alder Pioneers will challenge the Bishop Watterson Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Jonathan Alder sitting on three straight wins and Bishop Watterson on six.

Last Friday, Jonathan Alder didn't have too much trouble with Bellefontaine as they won 67-52. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Chieftains are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop Watterson had just enough and edged River Valley out 67-64 on Saturday.

Jonathan Alder has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Bishop Watterson, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
