Softball Recap: Fremont Victorious

Fremont won the last time they faced Prairie Heights and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 14-9. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Panthers on their field since May 16, 2019.

The team relied heavily on Drew Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Emily Foster also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Prairie Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Fremont will square off against Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie Heights, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Garrett on the 23rd.
