Basketball Recap: Craigmont Comes Up Short

Craigmont played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 73-48 to the Covington Chargers. The Chiefs haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Covington found their leader in sophomore TaKyra Boddie, who went 15 of 28 en route to 41 points along with five boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Boddie has scored at least a third of Covington's points. Another player making a difference was TaNya Flowers, who went 10 for 16 to rack up 20 points.

Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Covington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-13.

Craigmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-31 loss against Brighton on the 6th. As for Covington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-13 win against Raleigh-Egypt on the 7th.
