Softball Game Preview: Post Antelopes vs. Morton Indians

Post is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Saturday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Morton Indians at 12:00 p.m. Post is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Post lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Borden County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. Post was the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over Borden County last Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Antelopes.

Post got a massive performance out of Hayleigh Parker, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Those three runs gave Parker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amberly Garza, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3.

Post always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. They are 6-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 25 runs the game before, Morton was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 18-1 to Lockney.

Post's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Morton, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
