Baseball Recap: Portage Comes Up Short

Portage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andrean Fighting 59ers. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Fighting 59ers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Portage's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Andrean, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Portage has already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against Lake Central on the 6th. As for Andrean, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-5 win against Penn on the 3rd.
