Basketball Recap: Branchville Gets the Win

Scott's Branch came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Branchville, but Kyran Glover wouldn't allow it. The Branchville Yellow Jackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Scott's Branch Eagles on Thursday, sneaking past 64-61 thanks in part to Glover, who went 11 of 16 en route to 30 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Branchville's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Felder, who posted seven points and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Scott's Branch lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trayvon Bannister, who had 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nigel Lawson, who scored 15 points.

Branchville's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Scott's Branch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Branchville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-40 loss against Military Magnet Academy on the 14th. As for Scott's Branch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-43 win against St. John's on the 14th.
