Baseball Recap: Faith Baptist's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

If Faith Baptist was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Bridgeport Baptist Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagle took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Christian on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 11, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Sam Forbush was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Andrew Bingaman also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

With the defeat, Faith Baptist broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
