            The Sitka Wolves will take on the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
Juneau-Douglas will be up against a hot Sitka  team: the  squad just extended their winning streak to five. Everything went the Wolves' way against Kenai Central on Saturday as they made off with  a  9-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by  exactly seven  runs.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Juneau-Douglas). They blew past Lathrop 16-1 on Saturday. With that  win, the Crimson Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.5  runs per game.
 Skylar Oliva made a splash no matter where she played. She  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted  over her last 13  matches.
 In other batting news, Juneau-Douglas got a  massive  performance out of  Gwen Nizich, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  Nizich a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sadie Lockhart, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Juneau-Douglas  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in seven consecutive  contests.
 Juneau-Douglas has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Sitka, they now  have a winning record of 11-10-4.
