Softball Recap: Cabell Midland Knights vs. Winfield Generals
Cabell Midland faced Winfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Generals. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Cabell Midland got a massive performance out of Nicole Harris, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Harris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayla Norris, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Cabell Midland hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive contests.
