Volleyball Recap: Savannah Arts Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Effingham County

There's no place like home for Savannah Arts Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Effingham County Rebels by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Savannah Arts Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Maggie Allen, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bella Giaquinto and Bella Mauro certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Giaquinto had nine digs and two aces, while Mauro had five digs and two aces.

Savannah Arts Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Effingham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coincidentally, Savannah Arts Academy and Effingham County will both be playing The Habersham School the next time they take the court. The Rebels will head out to face the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
