Softball Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Takes a Loss

If San Lorenzo Valley was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Santa Cruz on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell 5-2 to the Scotts Valley Falcons on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

San Lorenzo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Scotts Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5-1 record this season.

San Lorenzo Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scotts Valley, they will square off against Santa Cruz at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.86 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
