Baseball Game Preview: Pitman Panthers vs. Mastery Warrior

The Pitman Panthers will take on the Mastery Warrior at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pitman had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Salem on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 17-3 victory.

Carter Snyder was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Pitman is 2-1 when Snyder posts two or more runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Drew Keefe was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Pitman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Mastery waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warrior have posted since April 1st.

The team relied heavily on Derwin Cabrera, who fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Mastery, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
