Football Recap: Clayton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Clayton and McDonell Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Clayton had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Macks 58-0. The Bears were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the seven matchups prior), but the Macks' defense proved too tough.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for McDonell Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McDonell Central, they will take on Flambeau on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Macks 9.3, the Falcons 5.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
