Volleyball Recap: Greater Atlanta Christian Starts Season with Loss at Home

Greater Atlanta Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions on Tuesday. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Lions from their previous meeting back in August of 2019.

While Greater Atlanta Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

St. Pius X Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Greater Atlanta Christian and St. Pius X Catholic will both be playing Providence Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Golden Lions will head out to face the Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
