Chazy took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bolton Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Chazy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Bolton Central on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Chazy has posted since May 8, 2024.

Jake Poirier made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Poirier was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Elijah Valentin was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Chazy and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Bolton Central, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4-1.
