Basketball Recap: Buffalo Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Sartell-St. Stephen

While Buffalo didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 50-46 W over the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bison's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Sabres are ranked 31st).

The victory made it two in a row for Buffalo and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo will venture away from home to face off against Century at 2:45 p.m. on December 27th. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sauk Rapids-Rice at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
