Baseball Recap: Coventry Comes Up Short

Coventry's last matchup with Cloverleaf could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Comets lost 15-1 to the Colts. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Comets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Coventry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cloverleaf, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2.

Cloverleaf wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Streetsboro on the 16th. Hopefully Coventry payed attention to the Colts' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
