Softball Game Preview: Waskom Wildcats vs. Harleton Wildcats

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Waskom has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Waskom came up short against Union Grove on Friday, falling 17-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, while Harleton put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Carlisle. Harleton was the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Carlisle. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Waskom's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Harleton, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-11.

Waskom might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Harleton in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can Waskom avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
