Football Recap: Nuview Bridge Comes Up Short at Home Against Pacific

Nuview Bridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Pacific Pirates on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

A big part of Pacific's victory came down to the chemistry between Ryan Cooper and his top target Aiden Johnson. Cooper threw for 182 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes while Johnson picked up 74 receiving yards and one score. Johnson's longest reception was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Nuview Bridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-0 loss against Arroyo Valley on the 29th. As for Pacific, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 30-28 win against Rubidoux on the 29th.
