Easton Lombardi Turns in Season-Best Performance

Cornersville came up short on Friday despite Easton Lombardi delivering his best game to date. Lombardi rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Lombardi and Cornersville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huntland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. Lombardi will face off against Bj Summers, the Hornets' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Butler and Wayne County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Collinwood on October 25th.

Bryant Mooney produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Huntland to the win on Friday. Mooney rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.

Huntland now has a winning record of 4-3. Mooney and Huntland will welcome Moore County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Petty Came Up Big in Moore County's 27-14 Win

Moore County picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Isaac Petty. Nobody could stop Petty as he rushed for 86 yards, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.

Moore County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Petty and Moore County will challenge Huntland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
