Easton Lombardi Turns in Season-Best Performance
Cornersville came up short on Friday despite Easton Lombardi delivering his best game to date. Lombardi rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Lombardi and Cornersville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huntland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. Lombardi will face off against Bj Summers, the Hornets' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. Moore County picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Isaac Petty. Nobody could stop Petty as he rushed for 86 yards, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.
