Baseball Recap: Angola Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Angola and Eastside meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Hornets came up short against the Blazers, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 two weeks ago.

Angola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Korbin Roan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Roan's first of the season.

Angola dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Eastside, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Angola will take on Fort Wayne Canterbury at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastside, they will challenge Edgerton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
