Volleyball Recap: Shoals Starts off Right with Win over North Daviess

Shoals took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Daviess Cougars by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jug Rox also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-9, 25-14.

Loren Bauer paced Shoals' offense, picking up 16 kills. Bauer got some help from Rylee Bauer and her 39 assists. Albanye Crim controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

North Daviess' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Shoals and North Daviess will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Jug Rox are set to square off against their familiar foe Barr-Reeve at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Daviess will challenge rival Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
