Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Hope Christian Academy extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Aziah Amberson. Hope Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clay County Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday, sneaking past 70-68 thanks in part to Amberson, who posted 27 points, to go along with six steals and five boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Clay County Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cohen McDonald, who went 8 for 9 on his way to 19 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Bacak, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Hope Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Clay County Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Hope Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-50 defeat against Banks Academy on the 6th. As for Clay County Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tuscaloosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th.
