Softball Recap: Overbrook Comes Up Short

Overbrook came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Philadelphia Rams, falling 22-4. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Overbrook now has a losing record of 2-3. As for South Philadelphia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Overbrook will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on May 1. As for South Philadelphia, they will venture away from home to face off against Freire Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
