Volleyball Recap: Alliance Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Alliance, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mitchell Tigers on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs have beaten the Tigers the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Alliance not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mitchell between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Kenley Jelinek, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. Ahri Galvan also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Alliance was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mitchell only served one.

Alliance's win bumped their record up to 8-22. As for Mitchell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-23.

Alliance has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Chadron on the 20th. As for Mitchell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hershey on the 18th.
