Softball Game Preview: Hicksville Aces vs. Tinora Rams

Hicksville is 0-4 against Tinora since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Aces will face off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Hicksville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Hicksville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hilltop, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Aces fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Aces just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Evy McAlexander made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Tinora came up short against Coldwater on Saturday, falling 19-2.

Tinora saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Gamby, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Tinora has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Hicksville, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-10.

Hicksville might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Tinora in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Aces avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
