Basketball Recap: Leadore Makes It 15 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Leadore, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed by the American Heritage Patriots to the tune of 51-10 on Thursday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Leadore's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaylee Kesl led the charge by putting up six points and 12 steals. Another player making a difference was Lexi Bird, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 12 points and eight boards.

Leadore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Leadore pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.4 points per game. As for American Heritage, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Leadore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-35 win against Sho-Ban on the 25th. American Heritage has also already played their next matchup (against Challis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
