Spencer County came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the North Oldham Mustangs get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 18 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Spencer County pushed their record up to 27-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Oldham, their loss dropped their record down to 18-22.
