Recap: Spruce Timberwolves vs. North Mesquite Stallions
The Spruce Timberwolves lost against the North Mesquite Stallions back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Spruce took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Mesquite. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Spruce in their matchups with North Mesquite: they've now lost three in a row.
Defeat or not, Spruce got some senior leadership from Tionnie Williams and Mesoulay Williams. Williams scored 11 points, while Williams. scored eight points. Williams continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Spruce has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for North Mesquite, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-18.
Spruce will be playing in front of their home fans against West Mesquite at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Mesquite will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for North Mesquite, they will head out on the road to take on Poteet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Poteet will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
