Recap: Tumwater Thunderbirds vs. Port Angeles Roughriders

The Tumwater Thunderbirds were the 50-45 winner over the Port Angeles Roughriders when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tumwater fell 54-46 to Port Angeles on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tumwater has scored all season.

Tumwater's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckett Wall, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nolan Campbell, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Tumwater and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Port Angeles, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Tumwater won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grandview at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Grandview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Tumwater likes a good challenge. Port Angeles won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Valley at 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. West Valley is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
