Basketball Recap: Logan Piles Up the Points Against Springer

Logan came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Springer Red Devils to the tune of 88-58. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Logan to victory were Hayden Bruhn and Mason Wallin. Bruhn dropped a double-double with 29 points and 17 boards, while Wallin went 12-for-17 en route to 32 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Bruhn's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Montoya, who posted two points and four steals.

Logan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Logan's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points over those games. As for Springer, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

Logan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springer, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against New Mexico School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. Springer is facing New Mexico School for the Deaf at the right time seeing as New Mexico School for the Deaf is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
