Basketball Recap: Gravette Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Gravette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prairie Grove Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 55-48 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Gravette's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5. As for Prairie Grove, they moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gravette will be taking part in a tournament against Dardanelle at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie Grove, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shiloh Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
