Baseball Recap: Columbus Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbus can now relate to. They lost 14-4 to the West Broward Bobcats on Saturday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Explorers, who until this game were averaging 2.38 runs allowed.

Rene Ramirez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Columbus' loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-7. As for West Broward, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Columbus nor West Broward have any future games scheduled.
