It's playoff time, and Langham Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the New Caney Eagles 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Lobos: when they faced off against the Eagles on Thursday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Kassidy Martinez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Langham Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for New Caney, their loss dropped their record down to 22-14-2.
