Briggs came tearing into Wednesday's match with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Marion-Franklin Red Devils. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bruins have posted since April 2nd.

Brailyn Hernandez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Hernandez wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.
