Basketball Recap: Montgomery Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Montgomery and Redwood squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Montgomery had to settle for second. They came up short against the Redwood Giants, falling 51-31. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Montgomery's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Redwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Redwood, they will challenge Acalanes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Acalanes knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Redwood likes a good challenge.
