Volleyball Recap: Homewood-Flossmoor Comes Up Short

Homewood-Flossmoor saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Panthers. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Makayla Cooper and Cherron Calhoun, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Naimah Calhoun and her ten assists.

Homewood-Flossmoor's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Homewood-Flossmoor and Washington will both be playing Chicago Christian the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
