Baseball Recap: Bridgewater-Raritan Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Bridgewater-Raritan took on North Hunterdon on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 5-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Jack Lanum tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, JR Rosado was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Conner Price was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Bridgewater-Raritan's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for North Hunterdon, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.

Coming up, Bridgewater-Raritan will challenge Watchung Hills Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Hunterdon, they will face off against Newton on Saturday.
