Ketcham dropped their record down to 18-4 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-1 to the White Plains Tigers. The Storm were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Tigers' pitchers proved too tough.
As for White Plains, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games.
For White Plains' part, Alexis Tighe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Tighe was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run.
