Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oceanside). They blew past the Foothills Christian Knights 81-51 on Saturday. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered an 86-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Foothills Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Joel Richards posted 27 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Sudi, who earned ten points.

The win snapped Oceanside's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Foothills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Oceanside will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Foothills Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against High Tech SD at 7:55 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' defense better be ready for this one: the Storm have averaged an impressive 51.2 points per game this season.
