Compass Academy suffers 13th straight loss on the road

Compass Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The contest between Compass Academy and Pecos wasn't particularly close, with Compass Academy falling 46-28.
Chloe Granado and Lindsey Ruiz certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Granado scored two points along with five rebounds, while Ruiz scored three points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Ruiz set a new season high mark in rebounds with seven.
Compass Academy's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.6 points per game. As for Pecos, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Compass Academy and Big Spring will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Big Spring comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Pecos won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dumas at 9:00 a.m. on December 9th. Dumas is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
