Basketball Recap: Rice Consolidated Comes Up Short

Rice Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Edna Cowboys 65-24. The Raiders were probably out for revenge after losing 50-24 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rice Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Edna, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rice Consolidated will head out to square off against Tidehaven at 5:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Edna, they will venture away from home to challenge Yoakum at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
