Volleyball Recap: Ford Comes Up Short

Ford lost against Lone Oak back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Buffaloes. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Ford ultimately came up short, they really made Lone Oak work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Keely Boyer paced Ford's offense, picking up nine kills. Boyer got some help from Madisyn Pettus and her 11 assists. Pettus was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lone Oak can attribute much of their success to Annebell Reagan, who had 13 digs and four aces.

Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lone Oak, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Buffaloes beat Ford by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
