Football Recap: Ventura Gets the Win

If Pacifica wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ventura, they should've done a better job of containing Ava Ortman. The Cougars blew past the Tritons 46-14 on Thursday with plenty of help from Ortman, who threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.8% of her passes, and also rushed for 84 yards and one TD on only six carries. Ortman is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least four every time she's taken the field this season.

Ventura's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pacifica, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
